@strypey wow NZ is still on my bucket list. I am studied wine expert. Would like to dive into NZ wine scene and see the nature. China is massive thing. I worked in media and was in Bejing some times to deal with the China Film Cooperation. Crazy country 🙂
@averygoodfriend China was a fantastic experience but yes, an often frustrating experience too. Aotearoa (NZ) is a beautiful place but everything is priced for tourists and the global wealthy, and there are no discounts for locals. Secure and affordable housing is increasingly a luxury of the middle class, and even basic food items seem absurdly expensive after China.

I was born and raised in Aotearoa (NZ). Due to pandemic, I'm unexpectedly back here again after 2 years living in China. Reverse culture shock is brutal and I haven't yet had the headspace to reconnect with community stuff.
