I took a little trip out of town before i start a new job. And I've noticed how differently i interact with the plants around me. Its a little more inland, warm and dry than my home so the plants here are different.
I gathered a bunch of invasive plants for dyeing and weaving. But i didn't clear them or chop them all down like k would probably do at home. This isn't land i have an ongoing relationship with so it feels wrong to make substantial changes.
Plus invasive plant removal is almost never a one time thing. It requires ongoing care. You have to go back and find the new invasive growth you missed last time and make sure the area isn't just being taken over by a different invasive plant.
And i can't do that ongoing work here since I'm only here for a few days.
